For this customer we were able to provide a Solution Design Document (SDD) for their `e-kundenakte´project. This was achieved through a long term project. The Solution provided increases the efficiency of the interface and the general process when it comes to customer interactions.
This was concerned with the analysis of the web-based collaboration system "eRoom". The aim was to analyze user behavior and to create the appropriate data structure in SharePoint. Subsequent to this analysis, the solution was "Share Room", designed and implemented; this will replace the old one after a successful migration from the eRoom system.
Here we present several employees to operate the various SharePoint farms (2007/2010) safely. Apart from operating activities, such as capacity management and incident management, we work in various projects. In these projects we provide technical assistance as a single point of contact, project ramp-up and in the design and architecture stages.
This was about the implementation of an archiving solution for SharePoint. A defined process supplements documents with meta information and moves them if necessary in a document archive center.
This was about building a SharePoint environment in conjunction with SQL Server Reporting Services as a portal environment for providing reports. By selecting a suitable authentication method the user’s credentials are passed to the Reporting Services instance.
Here we supported Siemens AG to move to a global SharePoint 2007-based intranet portal. As part of our support for the requirements analysis and the development we had to support different audiences, as well as a unique design requirements to a common platform.
Here we implemented a SharePoint-based collaboration solution. We acted as Test Manager and assured with a Team Foundation Server, the Application Life Cycle Management (ALM) safely. The developed software artifacts were examined, automatically compiled and deployed.
Here we developed the Rheinische Geschichte portal. This internet-facing WebContent Management solution enables distributed web-based editors to post content. After approval, the content was published on the website and made easily searchable through the SharePoint search engine.

Cloud Case Management
The service is for the provision of an EMC Documentum-based Case Management solution conforming to Impact Level IL0. The service provides a fully managed, flexible, performant infrastructure that can be delivered to meet a wide range of support levels up to and including 24x7x365 Platinum product and application support as well as 99.9% availability service levels. A key benefit and differentiator of the service is that it is able to provide full ECM lifecycle implementation services, from strategic planning, requirements analysis and definition, solution design, system configuration and implementation through to long-term application support and maintenance.
Content Management Service
The system provides broad solutions to an organization’s information handling needs. It can capture, store, retrieve, update and retire information in a multitude of forms (paper, document, image and email) to suit multi-media interactions between the client and its customers. ECM systems will include appropriate components of:
Electronic Document and Record Management Systems built on various tools and technologies – ranging from simple document folders to more sophisticated tools that support features including records management, workflow, and collaboration;

Contract Process Management
Contracts drive many business processes. Purchasing contracts, licensing contracts, employee contracts, services contracts and many other types of contracts build the foundation of many activities in large and mid-sized companies. Access to and information about these contracts is critical not only for the legal department, but for all employees who fulfil obligations or provide services or create deliverables defined in such contracts. Managing the authoring, approval and renewal processes of hundreds of contracts on paper and manually is very time consuming and ineffective. Contract Management is a flexible and modular solution, based on Documentum xCP, which can easily be adapted to specific customer requirements.
Digital Invoice Processing
The solution digitalizes the processing of incoming invoices and subsequently distributes them within the company. Manual processes often take days between the time an invoice is received and when it is processed for payment, during which the document passes through internal mail channels and waits to be approved by various individuals. Digital Invoice Processing can considerably cut throughput times and waiting periods during processing as well as sharply reduce costs. In a comprehensive process, hard copies of invoices are centrally scanned, indexed, and further processed digitally using integrated workflows. The automatic capture of invoice content using OCR/ICR software minimizes manual data entry.
Digital Public Relations and Communication
This solution supports all marketing and communications activities and related tasks, to optimize them by combining content management systems adapted for marketing and communication purposes with intelligent software and applications. From design to copy-editing, cross-media publishing and electronic communication response management, the system helps organizations boost, protect and modernize their brand image. The main objective is to publish the right information in the right format, with the right design at the right time. The solution is accessible via a customer portal from which customers can freely define their campaigns.
Digital WorkSpace was developed as an enterprise social network environment enriched with web 2.0 functionalities and social features. Based on the mapping of all internal processes and their standardization, the assessment and definition of workflows, the allocation and execution of tasks by project teams and operational departments, the Digital Workspace solution is an all-inclusive platform facilitating collaborative work within entities while standardizing processes and ensuring quality management at all stage of any project. Document Distribution Solution
The solution makes content and metadata available for business applications in a simple, structured and secure way providing users off-line access to electronic documents at any time from their mobile device. The system supports fully automated preloading, updating and encrypting of all enterprise documents. Users have instant access to the latest documents needed for their specific business function. The solution ensures document security even after the loss of a mobile device it allows users to browse through digital documents quickly and intuitively no matter what bandwidth is available. It also provides time-critical, updated business documents directly to users' mobile devices.
Documented Procedure System
The Documented Procedure System manages procedure specifications, guides and field manuals. The workflow-driven solution offers users several workflows to control a document’s lifecycle from creation over publishing to expiration. As a document management solution, basic functions like versioning, rights management and archiving are self-evident. The PDF output is XML based, based upon the DITA standard and can be managed to fine details like paragraphs. Parts of a document can be associated to multiple handbooks so that there is only one location to maintain, but updates affect all linked handbooks. The solution also brings a number of convenient functions, for instance change tracking or email reminders among others.
Electronic Customer File
This solution establishes a company/groupwide DMS solution for the customer care service and customer relationship management. The whole customer correspondence is stored in the DMS. The system captures mail, letters and faxes, extracts data from the documents and distributes them to work queues where they are processed by the customers’ agents. The status and the development of an incoming document is managed and monitored by a role-based dynamic system that combines the benefits of a Document Management System with the specifications of a Customer Relationship Management system.
Electronic Dossier System
The Electronic Dossier System is a very compact and straight forward solution that uses the uncustomized scan process from Captiva InputAccel to scan human resource-related documents. A document is categorized and indexed before being exported to a DMS. All data can be accessed and managed using a web portal. The basic document management functions like versioning, archiving and access control lists are also offered.
Extended Forms Management
This solution takes care of your companywide Adobe PDF forms. The system comprises forms that can be intelligent static and hybrid forms created by the Adobe lifecycle designer. On the top of it the access control is managed using the Adobe lifecycle server. The approval process is workflow driven and the Documentum infrastructure guarantees a proper enterprise document administration with check-in, check-out and versioning. After a successful approval, the forms are published online, but under the continuous control of the Adobe Lifecycle Server.
Historical Company Archive
Historical company archives are meant to systematically capture, preserve and make available documents of historic interest. An enormous amount of analogue and digital data must be viewed, recorded and retained for long-term storage. Done manually, the administrative cost and effort is substantial. The digital solution based on EMC Documentum permits the efficient recording and utilization of historic documents, pictures, films and other media types. The archivist works with a client server interface to record documents, including automatic handling of large volumes. Documents are classified using predetermined keyword attributes depending on document type, thus allowing for quick and precise research later on. The contents of the company archives are accessible via the intranet for authorized users, applying the highest security standards in accordance with archive regulations.
Human Resource Records Management
Personnel files, in paper form, often comprise several hundred pages and tend to continuously grow (salary slips, on/off the-job training certificates, other), demanding considerable administrative effort. Documents are accessible only at one location and cannot be reviewed or edited by more than one person at a time. The digital personnel file replaces the traditional paper folder. Information such as job applications, employment contracts, report cards, salary statements, discharge papers or pension documents can be kept electronically in PDF format. This enables authorized staff members to research, index, sort and print documents with ease. At the same time those documents are protected against malpractice through a tight access authorization system as well as through optimal encryption. High system availability and short response times will ensure excellent user acceptance.
Mail Management Solution
The mail solution captures all incoming documents, and prepares and hands them over to user-defined business processes as intelligible information. The solution supports all document formats and all input channels. After being captured an email is classified, converted to PDF, a personalized response can be sent and the email can also be provided to a CRM.
Official Publications and Regulated Documents
Designed specifically to respond to organizations faced with ever-growing volumes of regulated content, the Official Publications and Regulated Documents solution enables industries to benefit from an end-to-end platform enabling the controlled creation, update, publishing and management of structured content to ensure compliancy. The solution also helps automate all workflows and processes, and visualize and reference any data in real-time. The system is enriched with social features and collaborative work tools. Customers can easily define users involved in the production processes, set their roles and grant them access to the resources needed to fulfill their tasks. Customers can use collaborative components (blogs, forums, wiki pages) in order to facilitate and enhance collaborative work. They can plan and allocate tasks, establish task management workflows depending on the competencies of each actor, and define and monitor processes. They can access real-time information and follow in real-time the production status, and control and review all content, and decide on the publication formats. At each step of the document production, they can log onto the OPRD customer portal to check the evolution of the document along a well-defined process or make any adjustment needed in the production chain.
The Contract Management solution allows customers to combine the issuing and managing of a great number of contracts with the gain of an enterprise document management system. Contracts and their subjects are fed in by a scanning component. The concept allows defining numerous attributes on contracts, a complete lifecycle and offers various management functions.
